I have yet to find another city that offers such a wide variety of high quality dining as in the City of Angels - Bangkok. Spend a few days in this huge metropolitan, and you can chomp away on simple village fare like deep-fried marinated chicken drumsticks, or dine in style to Royal Thai cuisine's deep-fried Bussaba flower. Or if you wish, you may enjoy Continental Europe's best offerings like
foie gras and Swiss
fondue.
The best deal of it all is that you pay only a fraction of what you would have to elsewhere in the world!

This is the very reason why we keep going back to Thailand and Bangkok, in particular. Many friends have asked me for my favourite restaurant. It is difficult to name one as there are just too many on my fave list. My response had always been, "it all depends on my mood for the day."
Still there are some perennial favourites like Tongue Thai (outside Oriental Hotel), Basil (Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit), Thai on 4 (Amari Watergate), Once Upon a Time (Pratunam), Crepe & Co (Sukhumvit Soi 12), Baan Khun Mae (Siam Square), Hua Seng Hong (Chinatown), Blue Elephant (Sathorn), Bua (Soi Convent) and the list goes on and on.
Here are some photos to whet your appetite.
Bon apetite!
